We are adding more ways for you to edit our DIY template. Check back soon to see our new features!

Many of our templates can be edit and customized using Microsoft Word. We have Microsoft Word templates for invitations, announcements, party accessories, business stationery and much more. The greatest advantage of these templates is that you can edit and use them as often as you like. Here is a short picture tutorial on how to edit My DIY Designs Microsoft Word templates.

Before you can begin editing the template in Microsoft Word, you have to download the zip file from your account, unzip the compressed file folder so you can access the files and installed the fonts on your computer if you don’t already have them install.

This is how the template will look once opened in Microsoft Word. The design will appear faded out because it is in the header of the Microsoft Word document. If you double click on the design, you will see the full color design. We put the design in the header to avoid accidental deletion. Make sure you close the header before you start editing the template.

You can also remove text boxes by clicking on the box and pressing the delete button on your keyboard or you can add text boxes.

Once you edit everything, you can do a "print preview" to see how the finished template will look and then print. It’s just that easy.

Happy DIYing!
